The Best Gift

 There are various definitions of love. I am lucky to have found a beautiful one. 

When we give someone the trust

that we will be happy in our life no matter where we are…

that we will find happiness no matter what is going on in our life… 

that we know our happy place even in direst of situations…

That our happiness is within us and not dependent on people or circumstances…

When this happens, the people in our life find their space to grow and to be wherever they truly want to be in their lives. 

The freedom that this trust gives to people to grow in their own lives is the most selfless, unconditional, true meaning of love that I have ever come across. 

That amazing feeling is the best love has ever struck me. 

Feeling that for your happiness they could even give up their attachment to you. That’s how free such people let you be. 

That is the happiest form of love I have ever seen. 

When you feel it is a miracle - that feeling inside you of immense joy, freedom, and security. 

That is the most miraculous form of love that I have ever experienced. 

I never thought of putting it in words, but now that she is gone, I can’t help but share how pleasantly surreal it feels. Not like it was absent when she was there, but that how it makes me feel in her absence. It is nothing less than miraculous how I feel her love still push me to grow, to stay happy, to live…even more. 

What else could be love if not the feeling that motivates someone to always be happy, to grow, to consciously find happiness, to spread it to others, to accept, even when you are gone! 

The unsaid and only demand from people who know such love is that you be happy, irrespective of the circumstances, people, assets. In fact, the best gift you can give to such people is to be happy… just like them.

That is the gift that I will always strive to create because that is how my mom loved. That is how I will remember love. That is how I will love. That is how I will demand love.
